ZONES (1983)
When in doubt, go with the 'semi-live' odds and sods collection.
It almost works here -- as gormless as the RCA albums were, the band could still BLANGA in concert during the period as evidenced by tracks on this record.
One does get a bit tired of hearing 'Brainstorm' (which seems to appear on any album Turner's on) again and again, but it could be a Moorcock lispathon, so we can't really complain now, can we?
This album contains some of Huw Lloyd-Langton's best work during his on-again/off-again time with Hawkwind. If you like the little Welshman, then you need this disc.
BLANGA SCORE: 4
