The Colonel, Shockheaded Peter & Home..
|
Waking up on the last day of a holiday is my least favorite thing in the world, I have to give up pretending I'm the last of the great independently wealthy globe trotters and get on with reality.. oh well, thats 24 hours away, and we have the first Kentucky Fried Chicken restraunt to visit yet..

Naturally we breakfasted on chicken.. I had a pot pie, something which isn't available at English KFC's and mighty fine it was too. UK & US KFC's differ greatly, with the US ones not serving fries at all and the UK ones having a much smaller (yet greasier) menu. |
| This was all the tourisitng we had time for today as it's a four to five hour drive back to Columbus where we had tickets booked to see the mighty "Shockheaded Peter" a play that both RK & I had seen in London. RK had bought 10 tickets for her friends to see SHP as a birthday present to herself, and as predicted they all thoroughly enjoyed it.. oh, except one stoney faced mean spirited cow of a woman who I *think* I managed to persuade RK to chop out of her social circle.. trust me, I'm a doctor. Another more sensible friend bought himself a ticket to see it again tonite. |

Shockheaded Peter was, as expected brilliant, the full London cast & stage were present & correct, if you've never seen this self proclaimed "Junk Opera" you should hunt it down like a dog & get yourself tickets post haste.. It's in New York & Washington over the next month. |
|
So that's that then.. another roadtrip over, much fun was had, the highlights were "Graceland Too" and "Gatorman" and the lowpoint was missing the Corvette factory tour.
Many thanks to RK for being as usual an excellent roadtrip companion!
See y'all the next time... I hope I get home in time to see the Grand Prix...
end.
