Boston

Up with the larks and off to the architecturally correct IHOP we had spotted the day be fore was how today cranked into life.. Tamsin indulged in Strawberry Pancakes I had a low fat, no cholesterol, reduced sodium, sugar free, caffeine exempt T-bone and hash browns.. God bless America.
Then we drove to Boston, arriving just before noon .......Tamsin had to do some rummaging in Filenes basement, I dunno, It`s a girl thing I guess..

After that and it was off to walk the freedom trail, The Freedom trail is an -excellent- idea, it stops all that aimless tourist wanderings that I am prone to and forces you to take an interesting walk around the historical parts of Boston... not to mention cutting right through the Italian quarter.. dinner anyone? We didn`t make it across the Charlestown bridge.. well we -would have- but I doubt we`d have made it back again.. So I threw some coffee into the river and declared the yolk of colonial oppression once again active and we wandered off to do more shopping...

The Freedom trail really does take all day, especially if you stop to sample the -correct- amount of ice-cream at Faniel Hall.. there was also an -excellent- juggler/comedian performing outside, heck I nearly gave him money he was -that good-.
Ever been on the subway in Boston? they let the trains drive on the platforms!! see picture for proof.. ..yes that was a train creeping up behind us..

Jill, Steve, Tamsin. (Oh the shame..) In the evening we ate with my pal Jill and then all went to the Boston museum of science to see a movie in the IMAX cinema.. they have 2 movies showing at the moment and naturally we saw the duff one... it was basically a nature film about the wildebeest in Africa.. Should you be in the area on holiday hang out for the Titanic show.. Thank god for the IMAX demo at the start of the presentation or the whole thing would have been a waste of time.

I just got cheated out of my late night pizza cos Tamsin is tired and has gone to sleep.. so it`s hotel TV and planning tomorows assault on Vermont..
