HAWKWIND

Who? ...ok, ok, thats where ICU got Nik, Bob and Dave from.. see the Hawks homepage for further info..

THE THREE LAWS

Formed in 1979 by Steve Pond (synth) + AntTony (Synth), later joined by Jo on vocals, thats the line-up in the pic.

Played several gigs with ICU. Mick Stupp joined on drums, after Jo got the boot Mary Cason (Sleeve designer of Blood & Bone & The Presidents Tapes) sang lead vocals. The band were then signed to the same management as George Michael/Wham, a bad move.. . The big TTL split happened during the making of Blood & Bone when Steve blew out a gig to make the ICU LP and Tony decided never to speak to him again.. shame really.. aka: HECTIC ELECTRIC. this version of TTL also included Dead Fred on violin.

Melody Maker review of The Three Laws supporting Inner City Unit

PURE PRESSURE

Micky Fits: Vox, Steve Withers: Guitar, Mick Stupp: Drums Steve Pond: Bass

In the late 80's Punk band "The Fits" lost their rhythm section and changed their name to Pure Pressure first Steve and then Mick joined as the rythmn section, 4 minute high energy punk rock dressed up in designer leather was this bands stock in trade.. played alot of shows in London including 2 Marquee residencies but our 2 heroes split in 1990. Micky the singer is still thought to have a version of the band going..

LIGHT FANTASTIC Ron: Vox, Fred: Keys,

Outrageous cabaret band, toured the UK through the 70's with a stageact that included exploding heads and onstage hangings... still going, though not with a band, backed by tapes made by Fred (in the 70's!)

CRYSTAL VOID Lee Saunders - Everything.

Former ICU roadie makes good.. Lee hated fixing ICU's giant TV screen up in front of the stage so he went and started his own band, and got so popular in certain areas that Nik was happy to be his support act!

SIMON KING is honored here and I can`t think of a better Hawk to profile..
