CHURCH OF HAWKWIND (1982)

This one is almost a Brock solo album, as Griffin was down diseased and Langton/Bainbridge provide only intermittent contributions.

That being said, it is surprisingly entertaining, in a sick non-BLANGA way, with lots of keys, lots of tape samples, lots of atmosphere, but nary a crushing riff or a gut-wrenching groove to be had.

The rotten BLANGA score in this case (and this case alone) does not necessarily wholly damn this album; it just means they SHOULD have made it a Brock solo as it's got no truck in the Hawkwind pantheon.
