Fake Glam:
  • Kenny - The Bump
Thats it Dave .. RETIRE NOW!!! ..oh god he didn't hear me.. ..the film this song comes from "Stardust" is great, it's the sequal to Dave's other good film "That'll Be The Day" Both are available on one release now, go and get them for a look at the UK during this period, you'll be amazed at how poverty stricken it all seems, it rings true tho. The first movie sets up the character "Jim Maclaine", his teen years & intro to Rock & Roll, in the second film he gets in a band (With Keith Moon on drums!) and becomes a mega star.. I can't stress how highly recommended these two films are.

Nothing wrong with the rest of the month..

Except the "bump" (oh dear)

Sick of being ChinniChap's puppets Sweet start writing their own songs.. the end is nigh..

Slade start to write depressing songs, don't get me wrong this one is superb, but .. the fun has gone, a strange melancholy has crept in..

Meanwhile David Bowie has gone disco.. Disco?!? thats that. Glam's Over.

Kenny: oh dear... (shut up you stupid people! ...it's over!)

OFFICIAL END OF GLAM.

    July

    Fake Glam:
    • David Essex - Rolling Stone
HOLY COW! Where'd that Sweet record come from! y'see thats the difference.. Sweet just rocked!

The charts are at an all time low, of the two true glam records listed only the Sweet has any value, the T-Rex track is very poor by Bolans standards.. at this point I stopped following the charts, but what a ride it was! Make a compilation of all the songs on this site and you've cracked it!.

Right kids, get up to your bedrooms & rip the sleeves off your T Shirts, we're leaving school & we've got Punk Rock as the soundtrack. Luckiest Generation EVER!!

Meanwhile David Essex is busy undoing all the good works he did earlier in the year.
